Privacy Policy
In short: Keezen plays entirely on your iPhone or iPad. There is no account and no online play. Your games, settings and statistics stay on your device. We receive only anonymous usage counts, and the feedback or move reports that you choose to send.
Who this covers
This policy covers the iOS app “Keezen” (“the app”), published by Morvaya.
Your games and settings
The game in progress, your house rules, your settings and your statistics (games won and lost) are stored inside the app on your device. The computer players run on the device too; no game is played on a server.
- Saving. The game in progress is saved after every move, so you can close the app and carry on later.
- Deleting. Deleting the app removes your games, settings and statistics from your device.
Anonymous usage data
To learn how many people play, which rules they choose and whether the computer opponents are too easy or too hard, the app records a small set of events and sends them in the background to our server at feedback.morvaya.com:
- opening the app, and whether a game in progress is waiting;
- starting, resuming and finishing a game: the rules (Keezen, Dog or Tock), 4 or 6 players, the opponents' level, whether house rules are changed, whether you won, and how many deals, moves and minutes it took;
- changing a setting or a house rule (which switch, and on or off); opening a rules page;
- when the purchase screen opens, and the result of a purchase or restore; sending feedback or a move report;
- the app version, iOS version, device model, interface language and App Store country.
These events never include your cards, your moves or any text you typed. Each install has a random identifier, created on first launch and deleted with the app; it is not linked to your name, your Apple Account or the device's advertising identifier, and is not shared with anyone. The data is not used for advertising or tracking and is deleted after 400 days. Our server uses your IP address only to limit how often data can be sent and does not store it.
Feedback and move reports you choose to send
- Settings › Send feedback sends the message you type.
- Report this move (a long press on a computer player's move) sends that game's record up to the move: the rules, the cards dealt and every move played, or, for a long game, the position just before the move. We use it only to improve the computer players.
Both are sent with the app version, iOS version, device model and interface language to feedback.morvaya.com. No email address or account is needed, and they are not linked to the usage identifier above. The server uses your IP address only to limit sending and does not store it. Each message is deleted automatically 12 months after it is received.
Usage data and feedback are stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure, which may be outside your country. We use them only to fix problems and improve the app, and we do not sell them or pass them to anyone else.
Purchases
The one-time unlock is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple handles payment, receipts and refunds under its own privacy policy. We do not receive your name, Apple Account or payment details. The app keeps a count of how many games have been started on this device, in the device's Keychain, to apply the 10 free games.
Children
The app has no chat, no account, no advertising and no links out of the app, and it collects nothing that identifies a person. It is suitable for all ages.
Changes
If a future version sends anything else off your device, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy details first, and change the effective date above.
